Vogel, Slade & Goldstein, LLP, based in Washington, D.C., seeks a paralegal for a full-time job supporting the firm’s three partners handling cases brought under the qui tam (i.e., whistleblower) provisions of the False Claims Act. The paralegal’s job responsibilities will include working on factual investigations and research, supporting legal research, reviewing documents and other evidence, drafting memoranda regarding the foregoing, assisting in the preparation of documents filed in court and providing administrative support for the office, including assisting with IT issues and managing the firm’s shared file drive to keep files organized and up-to-date.
The start date is as soon as possible. The compensation is at least $65,000, subject to upward adjustments based on credentials and experience, plus end-of-year bonuses reflective of the paralegal’s contribution and the financial earnings of the firm. This is a two year position, and extensions of the two-year term are possible if employer and employee both agree.
This is a hybrid role with at least one day in the office required each week. Additional in-office days per week may be required in the future, depending on the firm’s workload. After 6 months of employment, fully remote work may be negotiable. Our downtown Washington, D.C. office is easily accessible by metro.
